Gov’t Is Imposing Tax On Petrol To Recover Money Given To EC For Needless Procurement – Franklin Cudjoe

Founding President of Imani Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has said that government is imposing a tax on petrol to recoup some money given to the Electoral Commission to procure some biometric devices ahead of the 2020 elections.

According to Mr Cudjoe, an amount of GHS 900 million was given to the Electoral Commission to fraudulently procure needless biometric devices before the 2020 elections, and citizens are now being made to pay.

Mr Cudjoe and Imani Africa have been one of the fiercest critics of the Electoral Commission.

See his post below………..

Had we not wickedly aided the EC with nearly GHS 900m it fraudulently used in procuring needless biometric machines to give us the most discredited elections ever ,we would have avoided imposing 20 pesewas tax on petrol. Some of those attacking us when we raised these issues will be paying the tax. Just keep quiet and suffer. Sia like that. 🤣
