Is Lauren really dead? Find out more here

Is Paige Hurd departing from the sequel to Power Book II: Ghost? Is Lauren Baldwin's character officially dead and gone? Tonight's entrance was a mystery...

So, what exactly happened in this episode? Is Lauren completely out of the picture?

Jenny confirmed Lauren's death in a conversation with Saxe about 20 minutes into the finale — not only that, but it was also confirmed that she died in a car accident. We believe that Effie was the one who killed the character. After all, we know she dragged her body away from her body after knocking her out in episode 9.

The problem with Effie (apparently) killing Lauren is that, given how this show works, the truth will eventually come out. It's difficult to imagine a situation where it doesn't. When it does, the focus may not be on Tariq, despite the fact that he's been accused of a variety of things over the years.

Brayden was wearing an ankle monitor at the time, and even if he wasn't the one who pulled the trigger, he could face some questioning.

By losing Lauren, Power Book II: Ghost sets itself apart from the first two books in the series. After all, there were a LOT of comparisons made between Lauren on this show and Angela from Power. On the original, Angela lasted a LOT longer.
