What Does the Spider Mean in Power Book IV: Force?

Tommy Egan's spinoff is fully operational. Power Book IV: Force picks off after Ghost's death in Power and follows him as he rebuilds his criminal empire from the ground up.

With a new environment, characters, and tone, it stands out on its own. There are, however, several references and callbacks to the original series.

Those who watched "King of the Goddamn Hill," the second episode of Power Book IV: Force, may have wondered what the significance of the spider emblem meant. There's obviously some meaning there, but what exactly does it mean?

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Power Book IV: Force Season 1 Episode 2.

In the episode, Tommy Egan encountered across a familiar acquaintance.

Tommy (Joseph Sikora) was ambushed by a woman with a huge scar on her face early in Power Book IV: Force Episode 2. Liliana (Audrey Esparza) was revealed to be a Power figure who collaborated with Tommy and Ghost (Omari Hardwick). Her scar was caused by a fight with Pink Sneakers, as fans will recall. Tommy believed it made her stand out too much, and he attempted to murder her. Ghost, on the other hand, promoted her due of her loyalty.

Tommy was surprised to run across her in Force after believing Ghost had killed her.

When a police car went by, the altercation between the two was broken up. Tommy broke into Liliana's house later, planning to murder her, but something caught his eye. A bag of cocaine was found beneath the floorboard, along with a card with a spider painted on it.

Does this imply that Liliana is a member of the Jimenez cartel? Only time will tell, but Reddit users were confident that the card was the same.

One fan said, "Damn the Jimenez set up shop in chiraq."

"That's amazing how she works for Jimenez now, I'm curious who's left since Alicia and Diego were dead, Tommy was right, the ghost shoulda killed her earlier," another remarked.

Whether this is the case, it will be fascinating to watch if any additional creative characters appear. Sikora has tried to avoid giving away any plot details about the show, but he has hinted at cameos and crossovers in the past.

'Power Book IV: Force' is up next.

For the time being, the trailer for Power Book IV: Force Episode 3 can provide some insight into what's to come. Tommy invites Liliana to work with him in the video, which was published on YouTube, and begins giving her the scoop on the Flynn family. Later, he meets with Walter Flynn, who is taken aback by Tommy's refusal to follow his orders to leave Chicago. To find out what happens next, tune in to Starz on Sundays.
