Robbers Who Asked Passengers To Pray For Them Shot Dead

Two suspected armed robbers who begged passengers to pray for them after allegedly robbing them on a VIP bus in the Western region were killed in a gunfight with police.

A third person has been apprehended and is currently in police custody, according to a police source.

Robbers attacked a bus heading from Takoradi in the Western Region to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on Monday, February 21, 2021.

Passengers told the media that after robbing them of their stuff, the masked robbers requested them to pray for them.

"They requested us to pray for them after the heist because it was not their intention to stop vehicles on the highway and loot passengers of their belongings."

“I’m a driver and I was going to buy an engine for my vehicle at Kumasi. My Mobile Money phone was last week stolen by another set of armed robbers at Kintampo so I decided to carry the money in my bag but unfortunately, I have been robbed again,” he added.
