Robbery gone horribly wrong after an Uber driver made a deal with criminals to steal his father's money.

A foiled heist involving an uber driver in his 30s who allegedly conspired with armed thieves to take his father's money is being investigated by police.

The robbery went wrong when the suspect driver contacted a fictitious assailant to organize a robbery of his father, who had recently returned from the United States.

Stephen Gyenu, 30, made the mistake of calling thugs to organize robbery of his father's money.

One of the 'robbers' he summoned was reportedly one of his co-tenants from Lomnava, near Lapaz, an Accra suburb.

Stephen Gyenu confesses to the problem in a video discovered by Akoma FM.

The case is still being investigated by police in order to identify those who were involved in the criminal chain.
