Season 2 of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' is almost finished filming

The origin story of one of the most interesting Power Universe characters is told in Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis in Kanan and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson in Power) is a naive teen in the 1990s.

Raquel "Raq" Thomas, his drug queenpin mother, raised him in Queens with the goal of proving himself (Patina Miller). Kanan, on the other hand, has no concept how terrible his mother is. Her desires for power have even astounded her brothers, Marvin (London Brown) and Lou Lou (Malcolm Mays).

Now that the second season of the show is almost through filming, we'll find out if Raq has maintained his dominance.

Season 2 of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' has been postponed.

Unfortunately, it appears like work on Raising Kanan's second season has been delayed. Power Universe founder Courtney Kemp said that the ongoing pandemic had slowed everything down during a recent Instagram Live.

"I don't know a date," she said, "but I can tell you they're shooting the finale right now." "Due to COVID, we had to push a portion of the season." Due to the Omicron surge, we had to postpone the start of Season 3 of Power Book II: Ghost and take a break in the middle of Season 2 of Raising Kanan. As a result, it will air a little later, but only a little.

Season 2 of 'Raising Kanan' is almost complete.

Even before the first season aired, the second season of Kanan was in the works. Filming has paused and resumed several times due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreaks. It appears that things are finally coming to a close. Miller recently uploaded a selfie of herself in her work trailer on Instagram. "Last trailer selfie of the season," she wrote in the caption.

This could indicate that the series is coming to a close, or she could be hinting at what Raq will be up to next season. We doubt Raq will be eliminated by the end of Season 2, but we do know that Unique (Joey Bada$$) will seek vengeance.
