The FIFA 2022 World Cup draw will take place on Friday.

After the final draw for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be made on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), the Black Stars will know their group stage opponents.

On April 1st, at 19:00 (local time), fans and all qualified teams will learn their paths to possible glory at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

The 28 already qualifying teams will be assigned to pots 1 through 4 based on the FIFA/Coca-Cola Men's World Ranking issued on 31 March following the conclusion of the international match window, according to the protocols agreed by the FIFA Competitions Organizing Committee.

Qatar will take place A1 from Pot 1, where they will be joined by the FIFA/Coca-Cola Men's World Ranking's seven highest-ranked qualified teams.

The countries ranked 8-15 in the qualified teams' ranking will be assigned to Pot 2, while the 16th-23rd best-ranked qualifiers will be assigned to Pot 3, in which the team will compete.

Finally, the qualified teams in positions 24 to 28 will be joined by three placeholders representing the two intercontinental play-off winners and the remaining UEFA play-off winner in Pot 4.

Pot 1 will be drawn first, followed by Pot 2 and then Pot 4. Before going on to the next pot, the previous one will be totally drained.

According to standard protocol, a ball from a team pot will be selected first, followed by a ball from one of the group pots, indicating the team's playing position.

With the exception of UEFA, which has 13 teams, teams from the same confederation will be separated in each of the eight groups.

Five out of the eight groups will therefore have two European teams.
