Police in the Northern Region arrested a man with six foreign weapons.

 


A man suspected of owning six foreign firearms was apprehended by Ghana Police Service personnel. 

Mohammed Iddi, also known as 'Water,' was apprehended near the Tamale-Bolgatanga route. 

'Water' was apprehended at the Pigu barrier during ordinary police intelligence operations, according to a police statement. 

"Six (6) new foreign produced '9mm Calibre Bruni 92' handguns were recovered as a result of the operation," police stated. 

"Suspect Mohammed Iddi was arraigned before High Court One in Tamale on Friday, April 8, 2022, and has been remanded in police custody to appear on April 25, 2022."
