Prince Harry contacted Prince Charles to set up a meeting with the Queen.

According to The Sun, Prince Harry was the one who contacted his father, Prince Charles, and grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, to set up his secret meeting with them late last week.

On their journey to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands this week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stopped in the United Kingdom on Thursday.

Prince Harry and Meghan visited the United Kingdom for the first time since they retired from royal duties in 2020.

"Harry texted his father and said he was coming over with Meghan and he wanted to meet," senior royal insiders stated. It was all started by Harry. Harry extended an olive branch in an attempt to clear the air."

"He made the approach to Charles, who was obviously quite thrilled, and accepted," the insiders claimed.

Insiders also said that the Queen only met Harry and Meghan after they had met Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as previously reported.

"Incredibly warm, good natured, and polite" was how the meetings were described.

The pair has also stated that Archie and Lilibet, the Queen's great-grandchildren, will meet her'very soon.'

"Both the Duke and Duchess are very conscious that the Queen is becoming older and has experienced health concerns linked with her great age," a source said. They have stated unequivocally that they intend to see the Queen with their family in the near future."
