OUTER BANKS SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE: WHEN WILL OUTER BANKS SEASON 3 BE RELEASED? 

Outer Banks season 3 began filming on February 28, 2022, according to the Netflix Twitter account, which tweeted "Time to get in a pogue frame of mind..." and two photographs of the cast enjoying the sun on set. As a result, we may expect more information in the coming weeks now that filming has commenced. 

OUTER BANKS SEASON 3 PLOT: WHAT HAPPENS IN SEASON 3 OF OUTER BANKS? 

Unfortunately, nothing is known about what will happen in Outer Banks season 3, with the show's writers and Netflix keeping their cards close to their chests. We do, however, know certain things and can make educated guesses about others. 

Following the dramatic finale of season 1, season 2 included a lot of drama, with John B and Sarah in the Bahamas. Meanwhile, the battle for $400 million between the Pogues and the Kooks raged on. We learned at the end of Season 2 that John B's father had been found alive and well. 

"John B's connection with his father is a key topic," the show's producers Josh Pate and Shannon Burke told Entertainment Weekly. They'll meet up again later, and John B will have to reconcile his romanticized vision of his deceased father with the reality of his living father." 

Meanwhile, Season 2 ended with the Pogues stranded on a barren island with little food and no way out. Carla Limbrey, the villain from Season 2, has made contact with John B's father, Big John, and the two appear to be building an alliance to gain what they both desire. Will enemies turn into friends? We'll have to wait and see what happens. 

SEASON 3 OF THE CAST OF THE OUTER BANKS 

According to Deadline, Chase Stokes will return as John B, and Madelyn Cline will resume her role as Sarah. Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, and Charles Esten will all return as supporting characters in Season 3 of the show. 

For the third season, Carlacia Grant, who plays Cleo, has been upgraded to series regular, so we can expect to see her more. Of course, Charles Halford will return as Big John, with the plot of John B's father playing a crucial role in the following season.
