A customs officer who was escorting seized oil was killed in an accident.

Musah Abraham, a Customs officer, was killed in a car accident this afternoon.

According to a source, the deceased was part of an operation on the Akatsi-Aflao route as JRA 3 in the Immigration service.

The deceased was a member of the customs division's collecting squad stationed at Aflao.

They were able to seize lubricants reportedly smuggled into the nation in a commercial vehicle during their operation.

He was assigned the responsibility of transporting the seized goods to their main office in Aflao, which is where the accident occurred.

According to the source, they enlisted the services of a driver who usually transports seized items to their Aflao headquarters.

The driver lost control of the car shortly after leaving the area where the commodities were confiscated and crashed it into an articulator truck parked on the roadside.
