Alix Lapri (Effie) Confirmed a Major Theory About Lauren

Season 3 of Power Book II: Ghost is currently being filmed in New York. Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) was devastated to find that his ex-girlfriend Lauren Baldwin (Paige Hurd) had died in a vehicle accident at the end of the second season.

He had no idea, however, that his best pals Effie (Alix Lapri) and Brayden (Gianni Paolo) were involved.

Lauren's death has recently been verified by Lapri, confirming a popular fan idea.

The backstory of Effie will be revealed in Season 3 of 'Power Book II: Ghost.'

Effie has been a part of the Power franchise since the beginning. Fans don't know much about her or where she hails from, despite the fact that she went to high school with Tariq and Brayden.

"Effie's mother is a shambles. In a 2020 Instagram Live, Power Universe Courtney Kemp said, "But I'll tell you about that later." "And, as regular readers of the series will recall, Effie's brother is no longer alive. Keep in mind that he was murdered."

In Ghost Season 3, Kemp has promised that we will learn a lot more about Effie.

Alix Lapri has confirmed a popular Lauren rumor.

Professor Carrie Milgram (Melanie Liburd) persuaded Lauren to help the Feds track down Tariq and the Tejada family in the second season of Ghost. This was unacceptable to the Tejadas and Effie. Lauren was lured away from the city as a result of her and Brayden's actions, and it was assumed that Effie had murdered the Stansfield University student. As we all know, Tariq had only given Brayden the responsibility of assisting Lauren in fleeing.

Despite the fact that we never saw Effie murder Lauren, Lapri now confirms what happened to her. "Look, I'm going to leave this to the viewers, but Effie don't miss," she says. Alright? On The Wayne Ayers Podcast, the actor stated, "Period."

Effie's relationship with Tariq is about to shift radically now that we know for sure that she killed Lauren.

Tariq may be mistaken about Effie's trustworthiness.

We can't picture Tariq's reaction when he finds out that Effie and Brayden were involved in Lauren's killing. In fact, he appears to be following in his father's footsteps. Furthermore, Effie isn't the only person to betray Tariq. She betrayed him and Brayden at Choate when they cut her out of their business, and she got them expelled from the prep school.

Now that she's kept Lauren's death a secret, it's evident that she'll always put herself first. Effie's dishonesty was exposed by Kemp during an Instagram Live during season 2. Effie once asked Tariq how closely she would be working with Cane Tejada in one of the episodes (Woody McClain).

From our vantage point, Effie appears to be on the verge of getting rid of Tariq and Brayden.
