Gianni Paolo(Brayden) talks about Deleted Scene Would Have Revealed What Happened After Lauren’s Kidnapping.

Power Book II: Ghost on Starz has led fans on a journey to discover what happened to Tariq St. Patrick after the shocking events of the first Power series.

As a result of Ghost's will, he ended up enrolling at Stansfield University to complete his education. However, he has turned to drug peddling as a source of income, following in his father's footsteps down a dark and hazardous path.

Lauren Baldwin, his girlfriend, became a victim of his illicit activities in Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 when she became embroiled in a police investigation, prompting Effie Morales to abduct her. It's the last time spectators saw her, and her fate remains unknown. However, a deleted scene would have revealed further information regarding Lauren's fate.

In 'Power Book II: Ghost,' what happened to Lauren?

Tariq advised Lauren she needed to leave town right now after learning she had caught Cane Tejada on a wire. In the meantime, he requested Brayden Weston to take Lauren to her parents' house, not aware that Brayden had already been ordered to kill Lauren by Cane.

Cane had threatened Brayden's life if he didn't comply, but Brayden was unable to comply. He was even planning on letting Lauren go, but Effie walked up and disrupted his plans. She dragged Lauren into her car with a revolver and drove away with her. Effie looked devastated and anxious when she returned to Stansfield later that morning and slid back into bed with Tariq.

There was a deleted scene in 'Power Book II: Ghost' that would have revealed more about what transpired after that.

In an episode of The Crew Has It, Gianni Paolo, who plays Brayden, discussed those scenes. He added that there was an alleged additional scene where Brayden had to hide the gun before having a major meltdown over what he and Effie did around the 39:00 minute mark.

He remarked of the clip, "It definitely never made it." "However, when I return, I hide the pistol in a safe beneath my bed or whatever." I'm about to go when [Trace Weston] walks into my room and says, 'I'm testifying.' Such as this and that. 'Your homie's f*****,' for example. I like everything about it. As a result, I broke down and cried. It was a fantastic scene. "I'd like to see that scene."

"However," he said, "I like broke down and cried." "I said something along the lines of, 'Trace, if you do this...' And then he walks out of the room, and I think to myself, "If he does this, he's dead." So I sobbed, and I walked over to a baby picture that they had me print out and present to him, and I punched it because this is what Brayden has become."

He couldn't specify why the moment was removed, but he suspects it was because the program was already too long.

The next season will focus on the fallout from Brayden and Effie's actions.

Fans may not have gotten answers about what happened to Lauren last season, but they will in the next. When asked for a teaser for Season 3 of Power Book II: Ghost, show creator Courtney Kemp responded, "Effie and Brayden and what their connection with Tariq will be."

"What I would say is that Effie and Brayden have a tremendous secret to keep from Tariq," she told Entertainment Weekly. "Cane is a part of the mystery, but it's really about Effie and Brayden and what their relationship with Tariq will be after what occurred onscreen with Lauren." What has happened to Lauren, as you will see in the coming days, will have a seismic impact on our three musketeers' relationships."

While there is no official release date for Season 3 of Power Book II: Ghost, it is scheduled to premiere on Starz later this year. Keep an eye out for updates.
