Michael Rainey Jr. (Tariq) Wants This Actor on Power Book II : Ghost : Season 3.

This actor is wanted by Michael Rainey Jr. for 'Power Book II: Ghost.'

Rainey made the remarks while on the podcast The Crew Has It, which he co-hosts with Ghost co-star Gianni Paolo. They were conversing with Alix Lapri, who plays Effie Morales, when they asked who she'd like to see on the program. Paolo chose Leonardo DiCaprio while Rainey Jr. chose comedian and actor Mike Epps while she pondered the topic.

Around the 31:50 mark, Lapri responded, "Oooh, Mike Epps." "...OK, so I'm thinking of picking a woman." Perhaps like... Queen Latifah. I could definitely see her playing as a Tejadas family member. She's fantastic at that kind of thing. Like cold, callous, and ruthless as that woman."

Rainey chimed in, evidently enjoying the idea of her being a f****** mobster as well. "She'd be a gangster in the fire department." We run into her while doing business, and she comes over and f***s us up. That, too, would be ablaze."

Epps and Queen Latifah appear to be booked and occupied for the time being, with projects like his Netflix sitcom The Upshaws and her CBS drama The Equalizer. Anything, however, is possible.

Meanwhile, several other special actors will appear in 'Power Book II: Ghost Season 3.

Meanwhile, viewers may expect numerous new cast members to join the show next season.

Gbenga Akinnagbe is set to play Ron Samuel Jenkins, according to Deadline. Ron, alias RSJ, is a Harvard Business School and Howard University graduate who "came up working class and developed his own respectable empire that has firmly ensconced him among the business elite."

"A worldly and powerful woman with a regal presence who has earned her money with an illegitimate worldwide empire and is not afraid to safeguard it by any means necessary," says Caroline Chikezie of Noma.

Blanca Rodriguez, played by Monique Curnen, returns back to investigate Mecca's murder. Fans will recall that Monet Tejada killed him in the Season 2 finale of Power Book II: Ghost, but Blanca believes Tariq did it after seeing him on film in Mecca's penthouse.

In addition to them, Deadline claims that David Walton will play Lucas Weston, a Wall Street executive. Lucas is a "adventure-seeking, left-leaning high-level executive" who works for a family-owned company.

Last but not least, Moriah Brown will play Kiki Travis. Kiki "isn't from a wealthy family," but she is "Ivy League educated" and "making her own way in the business elite."

The  show is expected to return in  November 2022.

Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 is set to premiere on Starz in 2022, with a specific release date yet to be determined. Based on previous trends, a late 2022 launch looks most feasible. Nothing, however, has been confirmed.

The second season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan will premiere on Starz before that. Although no precise date has been announced, Starz has stated that it will air sometime this summer. More information about the show may be found here.
