Kim Kardashian shows the text message she sent to Pete Davidson that got them together.

Following their appearance on a "Saturday Night Live" broadcast together in October, Kim Kardashian opened up about the first text she wrote to Pete Davidson.

Kardashian earlier acknowledged that she had contacted Davidson first on her family's Hulu reality series "The Kardashians." Kardashian revealed the first text she sent Davidson that finally started their relationship during an appearance on the "Today" show with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie.

As he knew I would be on it, he provided me wonderful advice when we briefly ran into each other at the Met, according to Kardashian. "So I just said, "Hey, thank you so much for that advice, that was so much fun," and I reached out. Just a little something, leaving it open."

Kardashian previously claimed that she met Davidson at the 2021 Met Gala in September 2021, where he gave her advice about hosting "SNL" and made an attempt to give her his phone number. She made this claim on the April 12 episode of the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast. Her all-black outfit's gloves prevented her from using and accepting her phone, though.

Kardashian revealed in the eighth episode of "The Kardashians" that she initially contacted Davidson without intending to start a romance. Instead, she said that she was "DTF" and had heard of Davidson's "BDE" (an acronym for "big dick energy") ("down to fuck").

In early 2022, the couple began to make their relationship more widely known after being first linked in October 2021. Davidson made a brief appearance at the end of "The Kardashians" season finale to make an off-screen joke about seeing Kardashian's vagina. Since then, they have made appearances together at occasions like the 2022 Met Gala and the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

It was out of character for her, according to Kardashian, to ask for his number and send the initial text.

She remarked, "It's so not me.
