Power Book II: Ghost’:Cane (Woody McClain) Is Considered the Show's Best Character, According to Fans

In Power Book II: Ghost, Cane Tejada (Woody McClain) plays a crucial role. Cane (Mary J. Blige) is the eldest child of Monet (Mary J. Blige) and Lorenzo Tejada (Berto Colon). He was made for the lifestyle that his family lives.

His fiery temper has caused him a lot of problems in the family business, and he was even kicked out of the family's inner circle for a while.

Cane, despite his rash actions, is anxious for approval and has become a fan favorite in the series.

'Power Book II: Ghost' character Cane is based on a character from 'The Godfather.'

Cane's fiery temper and drive to prove himself to his parents have captivated fans. The character is inspired on Santino "Sonny" Corleone's character from The Godfather, according to Power Universe designer Courtney Kemp.

"For those of you who are Godfather aficionados, Cane is a little bit modeled after Sonny Corleone," she remarked during an Instagram Live. "We really wanted that energy, that type of hot-head energy, that Santino energy, and Dru [Tejada] has a little bit of that Michael Corleone vibe to him," says the director.

Sonny was Vito's eldest son, as fans of The Godfather know. He was intended to be his father's heir. However, because of his explosive and impulsive temperament, Michael was forced to intervene.

Cane is regarded as the best character in 'Power Book II: Ghost,' according to fans.

Cane has a cult following. We've witnessed Kanan Stark (Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson) and fan favorite character Tommy Egan's recklessness before (Joseph Sikora). "Right now, Cane is the best character on Power," one Redditor said. "He's too funny and always thinking about Tariq's next move and making dumb decisions and so entertaining." "I'm hoping he makes it to season 6 and gets a spin-off program." Kanan and Tommy's roles were Kanan and Tommy's roles to me. He's without a doubt my fave."

So far, Cane has lived up to his moniker. Lorenzo Tejada, Jr. is Cane's real name. Cane was inspired by his childhood nickname "Hurricane." During an Instagram Live, Kemp added, "As a kid, he used to run around the house so much, he acted like a cyclone."

Season 3 of 'Ghost' might see Cane and Tariq partner together.

Cane framed Tariq for the death of Professor Jabari Reynolds (Justin McManus) and an NYPD officer who was having an affair with his mother, Monet, in the second season of Ghost, out of envy and ego. While Tariq was the one who killed Jabari, Cane was an accomplice and was accountable for the officer's killing.

Tariq has known since his release from prison that he intended to get vengeance on Cane. However, because he works for the Tejada family, things are complex. Cane is notorious for his rashness, yet he is also a fearless asset. When asked if the two would work together in season 3, Kemp advised her Instagram Live audience to stay tuned.
