Power Book III: Raising Kanan’:Kanan might be spared from prison by Detective Howard

The main character of Power Book III: Raising Kanan is Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis), who is learning what it takes to manage a drug business.

His close relationship with his mother, Raquel "Raq" Thomas, is also highlighted in the drama series (Patina Miller). Raq is one of the major drug dealers in Queens, New York, according to the Power television series. She has, however, also kept certain information from Kanan.

Kanan was born to Detective Malcolm Howard (Omar Epps). But in season 1, Raq had Kanan make an attempt at the detective's murder. However, the strategy did not work out. It might now be up to the Malcolm to keep Kanan out of jail.

Detective Howard is the birth father of Kanan, but he is unaware of this.

In Raising Kanan Season 1, the real Kanan's parentage was revealed, shocking fans. It was evident when we first met Detective Malcolm Howard that he and Raq were at odds. Fans, however, were astounded to discover that he is Kanan's biological father. Kanan had previously believed it to be the late criminal Def Con Stark.

We discovered that Def Con was wearing Raq as a beard while concealing his sexual orientation. Raq as a teenager as a result fell for Detective Howard. He misled her, telling her that he was a twenty-something undercover police officer. Raq has never been able to forgive Malcolm for it.

Detective Howard might stand up for Kanan.

Detective Howard is aware that Raq gave her son the order to shoot his father, even if Kanan is unaware of the truth about his father. But if it came down to it, the detective might have shielded Kanan. He wants Kanan's bone marrow in addition to wanting a chance to connect with his son.

As for how Detective Howard feels about his relationship with Kanan, you'll really get to witness a little amount of that, according to Curtis, who spoke to PopSugar. There will be a lot of it. There will be a lot of strong feelings expressed.

The bond between Kanan and Raq in "Power Book III: Raising Kanan" might be irreparably damaged. Season 2

In season 1, Kanan discovered a lot about his mother's capabilities. After learning that she had ordered a hit on his friend D-Wiz, he was particularly troubled. According to Curtis, "I think the basis of Kanan and Raq's relationship has been destroyed, at this point." "There has undoubtedly been a breach of trust and a barrier on both sides. The constant back-and-forth of "blood is thicker than water, but I still can't forget this" is just extremely intriguing to watch how they handle. The edginess and intensity that is present really reaches a boiling point, so I'm excited to see how it all comes together.

Currently, it appears as though Kanan is permanently separating himself from Raq. As we begin season two, Raquel "Raq" Thomas has taken over the city's drug trade, but her kid is eluding her, according to the season 2 logline. In addition to being unsure of his future in the family business, Kanan Stark is also unsure of his history due to Detective Howard's unsolved mystery.
