Top De@th Predictions for Season 2 of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan'

Fans have began to speculate on what might be in store this season as Power Book III: Raising Kanan returns to Starz. Raquel Thomas has risen to the top of the city's drug trade after defeating Unique last season.

However, given the nature of the series, some believe that the carnage is only just beginning. Here are some death predictions for Season 2 of Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

Season 2 of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' is reviewed.

The show's next season will pick up after Kanan went into hiding after the attempted assassination of Detective Malcolm Howard, and will investigate what happens when he returns to New York. Kanan is back at home with Raq, but the description for Raising Kanan Season 2 suggests that their relationship is deteriorating.

Raquel 'Raq' Thomas has taken control of the city's drug trade as season two begins, but her kid is slipping away. Kanan Stark returns to Queens worried about his future in the family business, and much more so about his past, thanks to Detective Howard's lingering secret. Raq pushes the business into hostile Mafia territory as Kanan seeks for the truth.

Lou- Lou has other plans involving his new record company, but Raq isn't willing to let his side gig get in the way of her growth. Marvin fights to earn Jukebox's forgiveness and become the father she deserves, despite being Raq's loyal soldier. The bonds that unite this family are fraying, but Raq will go to any length to keep them together."

Season 2 of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' was expected to have several major deaths, according to fans.

As seen in the teaser trailer for Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2, the Thomas family will face external challenges. Crown Camacho and, of course, Detective Howard appear to be among those involved.

After a person asked a query regarding who might die this season on Reddit, fans began to guess. Although the guesses varied, there were a few names that came up constantly.

"Lou's Lou's girl (forgot her name)," one user noted, adding that "the actress who played her got cast on another show" as additional "proof" of her death.

"Wow, if Lou Lou's girl gets cast on another program, she'll be toast," one response read.

Others, on the other hand, were given the appellation Detective Howard. "I can't see him surviving," one comment read. "Raq might send a hitter to the hospital to finish the job before Kanan finds out that's his father."

"Unique might die in jail," continued the remark. "It appears that additional villains will be developed to oppose Raq. I wouldn't be surprised if Juke's mother passed away as well. If we see Davina again, she might die, which would be terrific character development for Kanan. [And] I believe that towards the end of season 2, Kanan will recognize Raq for who she truly is, and he'll try to do s*** on his own, laying the groundwork for Breeze's introduction."

Another fan countered, "I think it'll be Symphony." "Something tells me he's going to be sick of Raq being in the game, and you know how Raq is, so he might do something that jeopardizes the relationship."

Crown has been suggested by others owing to a major sequence in the teaser. One member wrote, "In the preview, he pulls a gun on Lou, which I believe leads to his death."

In the Power Universe, how are deaths decided?

While it's natural to think that the villains will die, this isn't always the case in the Power Universe.

"Here's the thing about the big deaths at the end of the season: at the start of the season, we ask ourselves, 'Who are the innocent?'" During an Instagram Live session, power showrunner and creator Courtney Kemp explained.

"I know that sounds terrible," she continued, "but if you think about it, if you're a die-hard Power fan, if you look back, we always kill an innocent person." Because the drug game's reality is that people get wounded. There are unintended consequences. It is not always the case that the villains are simply injured. They injure innocent bystanders all the time, so that's a big deal. We'll truly kill someone who is innocent in episodes eight, nine, or ten."

That makes making forecasts even more difficult. Fortunately, fans will be able to watch what occurs when the program returns to Starz in a few weeks. The new season will start on the network on August 14, with new episodes airing weekly thereafter.
