MCE and the driver perish in a collision on the Accra-Kumasi highway;(SAD)

The MCE for Bibiani-Anwhwiaso and his driver perished in a car accident in the Eastern Region at Akyim Fisher on the Accra-Kumasi route.

According to a police report, Alfred Amoah, the MCE of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality, was riding in the assembly's Nisan Patrol 44 GC2060-18 as it left Accra for Bibiani.

A Man Diesel Articulated truck No. AS 4229-X traveling from Kumasi to Akyim Fisher on the Accra-Kumasi Highway veered off its lane and collided head-on with the Nissan Patrol 44.

The MCE and his driver were both killed instantly when they became trapped inside the car.

The deceased's remains were taken with the assistance of the National Fire Service from Bunso and Kyebi and sent to the government hospital in Kyebi, where the on-duty medical officer verified their identities.

The morgue received their bodies for the purposes of preservation, identification, and autopsy.

When Habibu Adam, a 35-year-old driver of the empty-tank Man Diesel Fuel Tanker No. GN 8540-20 traveling in the direction of Kumasi, spotted the danger up ahead, he applied the brakes to prevent a collision. In the process, he lost control of the wheel, strayed from his lane, and crashed into a ditch on the side of the road that was facing Accra.

The police are making an effort to apprehend the at-large Articulator truck driver and tow the collision automobiles away from the scene.
