Wontumi should cool down, he should go and sleep and learn sense – Kennedy Agyapong shames Wontumi at NPP National Delegates Conference

Wontumi and other NPP regional chairman have been under fire from Kennedy Agyapong for openly endorsing John Boadu.

Chairman Wontumi and 15 regional leaders of the New Patriotic Party have been shamed by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.

At the NPP National Executive election conducted at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17, 2022, the Assin Central MP challenged them.

After the election, Ken Agyapong, who had previously anticipated John Boadu's fall due to the neglect of the grassroots, spoke.

Kennedy Agyapong felt vindicated after Justin Kodua Frimpong defeated John Boadu for the General Secretary position and criticized the Regional Chairmen who publicly backed the unsuccessful candidate.

Before the election, Ken Agyapong opposed the open campaigning for John Boadu by the chairman of the Ashanti Region, Wontumi, who was joined by 15 other regional chairmen. Ken wanted all regional executives to be impartial.

He continued, "My brother Wontumi should chill down. He should cool down. He doesn't own this party.

When asked why, he responded, "the way he was acting and whipping all chairmen to unwillingly raise their hands.

The chairmen of all of them would quit if it had happened anyplace because they were all ashamed.

The Hon. Kennedy Agyapong stated that he counseled all party leaders against openly endorsing a candidate because such actions lead to disunity.

As a party leader, he continued, Chairman Wontumi and the other 15 regional chairmen should go to bed and learn that starving the grassroots won't change their thoughts.
