At Adjiringanor, a fire destroys nearly 200 wooden structures.


According to information that is currently available, a fire on Friday night in the Accra suburb of Adjiringanor, East Legon, damaged around 200 wooden structures. 

The Ghana National Fire Service posted a number of images and videos of the burning buildings from the scene on their Facebook page. 

The fire began at Adjiringano (East Legon 34 Boundary Road), according to the Ghana Fire Service report, and four appliances from the Legon, headquarters, Madina, and Adenta fire stations responded to the call.

Four appliances from the fire stations in Legon, Headquarters, Madina, and Adenta are currently working to contain the situation. 

The fire has been put out. 

The Facebook post stated, "No casualties were reported and over 150 structures near to the location of the fire were salvaged owing to the bravery of our soldiers but sadly, over 200 Wooden structures fully burned."
