Health Directorate: 27 SHS students test positive for HIV.

At least twenty-seven (27) Senior High School (SHS) students in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, according to the most recent information released by the Ghana Health Service

Other s3xually transmitted diseases (STDs) are on the rise, according to Municipal Health Director Mrs. Elsie Kissi-Appiah, who urged residents to be cautious and take precautions.

She announced it at a neighborhood presentation that the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development organized.

I'm sorry to have to let you know that 27 SHS students have developed HIV/AIDS as a result of unprotected s3x and multiple s3x partners. Additionally rising is teen pregnancies.

The deputy minister for local government, Collins Ntim, bemoaned the situation and asked everyone to relax their guard.

The Minister remarked, "The government is also interested in offering free antiretroviral medications, and one can go for them."

Dr. Stephen Ayisi Addo, the program manager for the National STIs and HIV/AIDS Control Program, recently disclosed that 23,495 people tested positive for HIV in the first half of this year.
