Two people have been picked up on suspicion of killing a Tweneboa Kodua SHS student.

The Ghana Police Service has caught two people they think were involved in the robbery and murder of a senior at Tweneboah Kodua Senior High School in the Ashanti Region. 

Osei Mensah Daniel, Eric Anning, and a child allegedly killed the victim after robbing him and buried him in a cocoa field. 

Chief Superintendent Grace Ansah-Akrofi, who is in charge of the Police Public Affairs Department, said in a statement that suspect Eric Anning was taken to the hospital for treatment of a deep cut on his right hand. 

Investigators say that the victim was attacked in Benebene, a village near Fianko in the Ashanti Region where he ran a motorcycle business while on school break. 

The victim was allegedly stabbed many times in the lower abdomen and chest before he was killed with a club. 

The terrible thing that happened on Friday, August 5, 2022, has shook the whole city. 

The police statement said, "In the meantime, the suspect and his young helper will be brought to court today, August 9, 2022)." 

Kwame Boame, the dead man's father, still hasn't come to terms with his son's death. This tragedy has upset him. 

"Since I can't change what's going on, I've decided to give it all to God. "I will ask that the suspects be punished by the country's laws, and they should also get the same punishment as my late son," he said with tears in his eyes. 

The person who represents the area in the Assembly called for a coordinated effort to stop crime in the area. 

He also asked the Government and the Inspector General of Police to hurry up with plans to open a police station in the area. 

Some kids in the area were upset about what happened.
