Video of Asamoah Gyan regaining his physical fitness

Captain Marvelous, Asamoah Gyan, often known as Baby Jet, has asked to make one more World Cup appearance for the Ghanaian Blackstars in Qatar.

Gyan acknowledged that he is not currently in top shape and is working hard to get in it in an interview with BBC's John Bennett.

In a section of the interview, he stated, "Anything can happen; it has happened before back in 1994 when Roger Milla came out from retirement to participate in the World Cup.

Just hours after his interview, Asamoah Gyan, 36, can be seen working out diligently to get his body back in shape in a new video that has surfaced on social media.

The former Sunderland captain is eager for the chance to atone for his missed penalty against Uruguay at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Asamoah Gyan, according to some Ghanaians, shouldn't be included in this Blackstars group because he is past his peak; instead, fresh players should be given the chance to represent their nation.

Will Asamoah Gyan be a part of Coach Otto Addo's World Cup roster? Time will tell, I suppose.
