Dr. Bawumia stood with NPP in those difficult times- Benito Kwadwo Asamoah

Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia being a running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo in 2008 increased its share of the vote compared to 2004 in all the three Northern Regions, in both the first and second round. Dr. Bawumia was re-nominated as the Vice-Presidential Candidate to Nana Akufo-Addo for the 2012 General Elections because of his Hardwork and Dedication he put forth in the previous election.

The Party won ten (10) seats in the (then) Northern Region. Around this period, Dr. Bawumia had become a better version of the running mate he had been in 2008. This did not only become obvious in the election campaign of 2012, but it manifested more in the top-notch performance he put up during the 2013 petition hearing at Supreme Court. He thrilled everybody with distinct, intact and coruscating answers.

Dr. Bawumia consistently stood with the party in those difficult times to give his all for the party and captured us power. It is therefore important and  evidently that his time to take up the mantle to lead the party is 2024. He has showed massive works in this administration, to talk of the few; for championing in Digitalisation which has brought great changes to the public sector, which needs continuation as we all yearn to develop Ghana.

His Loyalty, Hardwork and Dedication to the party would be rewarded as a Flagbearer for the party to serve as a yardstick for grassroots. Going into 2024 poll, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the only marketable candidate for NPP to compete with any Candidate of the opposition party.

I therefore call on all party grassroots to remember the sacrifices, Loyalty and Dedication of Dr. Bawumia in our days of opposition when some party men left us to our faith in those difficult times. We need to reward him with his hardwork and competency to lead the party to break the eight.
