In the season 13 premiere, there is an offer for Erin and Frank's mission.

Look who's coming to dinner with the family! In the first episode of Blue Bloods' 13th season, Archbishop Kearns joins the Reagans at their weekly get-together, which is usually only attended by Reagans (Stacy Keach).

In "Keeping the Faith," he and Frank (Tom Selleck) go on a mission to get an unfiltered look at the city and get that coveted invitation. The logline for the first episode also says that Erin's (Bridget Moynahan) ex-husband, Jack Boyle (Peter Hermann), makes her a surprising offer about her run for District Attorney. Is that what the picture up there shows? More pictures from the premiere show, though, that it won't be all business for the two.

As for the Reagans' police work, in the first episode, Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie (Vanessa Ray) have to deal with a domestic violence case tied to an investigation led by Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Baez. This makes their job more dangerous (Marisa Ramirez). Since Danny, Jamie, and Eddie are all in the picture, we don't have to worry about them if the family dinner happens at the end of the episode. (Plus, Danny is happy, so Baez must also be safe.) But how dangerous could this case get if it happens at any other time?

Blue Bloods' 13th season starts on CBS on Friday, October 7 at 10 p.m. and 9 p.m.
