Yellowstone's Season 5 Premiere EP: "Everyone Will Be Surprised Right Away"

15 million people watched the Season 4 finale of Yellowstone, which was January's most popular cable show, and were thrilled when wild woman Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) finally married longtime love Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) on her family's prized Montana ranch.

Fans also like cocreator Taylor Sheridan's sense of Western justice, so they were happy to see Beth blackmail her adoptive brother, lawyer Jamie (Wes Bentley), into shooting his biological dad, who had ordered a hit on the Duttons. Beth then took pictures of Jamie putting the body to rest!

Yellowstone's producers keep information about the plot as tight as a cowboy's jeans. Here, with the help of executive producer David C. Glasser, we try to guess what will happen next in the land saga.

Where do we start again?

"Episode 1 will shock everyone right away, both with how it starts and with what has happened so far," says Glasser. Could there be a little jump in time? Has the race for governor between patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and his sons been decided? How have he and Beth found new ways to use Jamie?

Will we meet new baddies?

Yes, it sounds like Market Equities CEO Caroline Warner (Jacki Weaver), who said she would put mole Beth in jail after she messed up the company's plans for growth, will not be alone.

Sarah Atwood, a confident businesswoman, has just moved to Montana. She is played by Dawn Olivieri, who played James Dutton's sister Claire in the prequel series 1883. Kayce Dutton, played by Luke Grimes, might have been talking about her when he said, "I saw the end of us" during his last vision quest.

Does Rip find out what Jamie did when they were kids?

Rip, the boss of the ranch, still doesn't know that his new wife got pregnant when he and Beth were in high school, or that Jamie took Beth to a clinic to have an abortion and have Beth sterilized. Both Kylie Rogers and Kyle Red Silverstein, who play the teens Beth and Rip, will be back this season. Will that bomb go off at last?

Can we expect more drama in the bunkhouse?

With Rowdy (Kai Caster), a new cowboy, in the mix, we'd bet on more fights. Also, ranch hand Teeter (Jen Landon) and Jimmy's (Jefferson White) fiancee Emily (Kathryn Kelly) have been promoted to series regulars.

Who is new, and what else?

Lainey Wilson, a country music singer-songwriter, will play musician Abby, and actress Lilli Kay will play Clara Brewer, one of the Duttons' new assistants. Even though the show already shows off the most beautiful parts of the U.S., Glasser says, "We go to some new and amazing places in Montana."

See you in Helena?

Yellowstone's fifth season starts on November 13 at 8/7c on the Paramount Network.
