FDA warns against eating contaminated sausages.

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) is warning people not to eat AIA Wudy and Pavo sausages because they may be contaminated.

This is because the sausages made by Agricola Tre Vali were taken off the market in Italy after Listeria bacteria were found in them.

After recalls were issued in Europe and other places, the FDA said it also did a market surveillance and found Pavo Frankfurt sausages with expiration dates in November 2022 in Ho in the Volta Region.

Since then, the items have been held until they can be thrown away safely. So far, there have been no AIA Wudy sausages on the Ghanaian market.

In a statement, the Authority told people who had any of the brands to give them back to any FDA office.

"The FDA wants the public to know that its surveillance teams are still keeping an eye on the markets for any of the products listed above," the statement said.
