Actress from Little House will sign books at the Peachtree City Library

On Monday, November 14, at 6 p.m., the adored actress Karen Grassle, who played "Ma" on Little House on the Prairie, will hold a "after-hours" book presentation and signing in the Floy Farr Room at the Peachtree City Library.

At the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Grassle grew up in a loving home where booze caused chaos. In her frank book Bright Lights, Prairie Dust (She Writes Press, 2021), actress Grassle describes her journey to success as an actor despite her difficulties with depression, alcoholism, and finding a devoted partner

. Grassle guides the reader through the sexual revolution and upheavals of the 1960s, her schooling at the renowned London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, life on Broadway, and legendary Hollywood sets with comedy and hard-won insight.

Bright Lights praises and celebrates womanhood in all of its richness in a raw, passionate, and empathic way. Grassle received a degree from UC Berkeley and a Fulbright to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

She continued her career at theaters around the US and in New York. She is renowned for her support of women's equality and wrote, directed, and performed in the television movie Battered.

She has made appearances in three independent films and plays across the country during the past fifteen years. She enjoys spending time with her son Zach Radford and working in the garden during her free time. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Parking towards the back of the library and entering through the downstairs door is strongly advised for attendees of the book talk and signing.
