The Okyenhene and Paramount Chief of Akyem Abuakwa, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, is still asking Ghanaians to help build the controversial National Cathedral.
The Okyenhene says that if we can't build this cathedral, it will be a huge shame for President Nana Addo and for Ghana as a whole.
He said this last week when the National Cathedral's Board of Trustees met with him in Kyebi.
The Paramount chief of Akyem Abuakwa said that the National Cathedral has a lot of benefits for the people of Ghana and that we should all work together to make the project happen
"He [Akufo-Addo] must praise the name of the Lord for how far He has brought him and build the cathedral to show that he is thankful to God for making him president. There is no better news than this."
He went on to say, "With the cathedral, you won't have to go to Israel. Just go to Accra, and the cathedral will answer all your questions about Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and everything else.
So, he said, "I'm begging you all: Don't make our country and the President look bad. Instead, let's help build the cathedral."
